I always used to think of topics
to write on
Never did it strike that I could
write so much about you
So much that I could keep going
on and on
From the time we got to know each
other
Not a day you left me alone,
unattended
Shared every bite of your food
with me
Took me along wherever you went
Carried my weight along like a
feather
Gave up on so many of your likes
cos of me
And never did you complain to me
of it
The day I became a part of your
life
You shared the happiness with the
entire world
I dint know then how much it
meant to you
Every second you kept me close to
your heart
Let me by myself to learn but
still kept your eye on me
Told me not to cry when you would
cry within
Why are you so nice?
I’m happy that I have you for a
lifetime
And that I don’t have to share
you with many
You have always given so much
more than I could to you
Even a lifetime wouldn’t be
enough for me to return that love
Nobody can ever understand me as
well as you do
Especially when you read it all
in my eyes
Those magical hands of yours
Your touch makes me forget all
tiredness
How come you see the unexpressed
pain
You know it when I’m in vain
You have such a big heart
No wonder everyone loves you
I don’t know what I would have
done without you
Wouldn’t know which road to take
You have been my path maker
And I’m happy that I took the
path you showed
You always protected me from the
bad
Always corrected me when I went
wrong
I dream of becoming like you
Imbibing your qualities and
goodness
The richness of your food
And the subtleness of your mood
You’ve been my friend
You’ve been my savior
You gave me ideas to do my work
better
You were never selfish and
enjoyed all my success like it was yours
You were my pillar in failure
I feel this all from the bottom
of my heart
You are the angel of my life!
Dad’s lucky that you’re his
wife!!
I grew in you, I grew with you
You groomed me along with you
And made me as beautiful as you
And what people say is definitely
true…
God can’t be everywhere, so he sent YOU!!

Loved the lines "I grew in you, I grew with you"....so true and brings out the deeper connection between the mother & child.
